The official website for the second season of the Kuroiwa Medaka ni Watashi no Kawaii ga Tsuujinai (Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms/黒岩メダカに私の可愛いが通じない) TV anime has revealed a new teaser promotional video and teaser visual.

Okumura Yoshiaki returns to direct the anime’s second season at Synergy Studio, and Serizawa Yuu and Iwasaki Ryouta reprise their roles as Mona Kawai and Medaka Kuroiwa, respectively.
The anime’s first season, directed by Okumura Yoshiaki at Synergy studio, premiered in January 2025. The first season can be streamed on the Crunchyroll website under the name Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charm, and Crunchyroll describes the anime’s story below:
“For Mona Kawai, winning hearts and turning heads comes naturally. Everything changes when Medaka Kuroiwa, a new transfer student, arrives. He won’t even give Mona a second look, and it turns her life upside down! Mona tries everything she can to win Medaka over, even going to the extreme at times. Tune in to a new rom-com about a queen bee and an unfazed boy among the school’s halls”
The anime is an adaptation of Kuze Ran’s Kuroiwa Medaka ni Watashi no Kawaii ga Tsuujinai manga. Kuze started the manga as a one-shot story in December 2020 and began serialising it in May 2021 in Kondansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine. Kodansha released the manga’s first tankoubon volume in August 2021 and the 24th volume on May 15th, 2026.
Kodansha USA Publishing releases the manga in English under the title Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms. It will publish the manga’s 21st volume digitally on May 19th, 2026. Kodansha describes the manga story below:
“Mona is the cutest girl in school, and she knows it. In fact, she has everyone wrapped around her pretty little finger—everyone, that is, except Medaka Kuroiwa, a recent transfer student.
