The official website for the TV anime S Rank Monster no “Behemoth” dakedo, Neko to Machigawarete Elf Musume no Pet Toshite Kurashitemasu (I’m a Behemoth, an S-Ranked Monster, but Mistaken for a Cat, I Live as an Elf Girl’s Pet) has confirmed that the anime will premiere in 2025 and it revealed the show’s key visual and a teaser video.

Hirakawa Tetsuo is directing the anime at Zero-G and Saber Works studio. The anime will star Hatanaka Tasuku as Tama, Sugiyama Riho as Tama in cat form, Yano Hinaki as Aria, Kusunoki Tomori as Vulcan and Ueda Hitomi as Stella.
The anime is based on Ginyoku Nozomi’s light novel series. Ginyoku started the story on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in 2017 and ended it in 2021. Micro Magazine published the first novel in print with illustrations by Yanomitsuki in March 2018 and the second in October 2018.
The novel series also inspired a manga adaptation by Shinonome Tarou in March 2018 in the Young Animal Arashi magazine. Hakusensha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in March 2018 and the 11th volume in March 2024.
After dying in a fight against the forces of evil, a knight finds himself reincarnated as one of the world’s most powerful monsters: a behemoth! The problem is that he has to grow up before he can strut his stuff, and a baby behemoth looks like… a housecat?! And when an elf adventurer decides to take him in, she may need his help as much as he needs hers!
