Hakusensha announced this week that the light novel series S Rank Monster no “Behemoth” dakedo, Neko to Machigawarete Elf Musume no Pet Toshite Kurashitemasu (I’m a Behemoth, an S-Ranked Monster, but Mistaken for a Cat, I Live as an Elf Girl’s Pet) will be getting a TV anime adaptation.
Ginyoku Nozomi started the story on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in 2017 and ended it in 2021. Micro Magazine published the first novel in print with illustrations by Yanomitsuki in March 2018 and the second in October 2018.
The novel series also inspired a manga adaptation by Shinonome Tarou in March 2018 in the Young Animal Arashi magazine, and Hakusensha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in March 2018. The manga’s 11th volume will be released on March 29th, 2024.
After dying in a fight against the forces of evil, a knight finds himself reincarnated as one of the world’s most powerful monsters: a behemoth! The problem is that he has to grow up before he can strut his stuff, and a baby behemoth looks like… a housecat?! And when an elf adventurer decides to take him in, she may need his help as much as he needs hers!
