The manga Gokukon: Choudekiai Yakuza to Keiyaku Kekkon!? (Boss Wife) will end with its ninth volume, scheduled for release in the Summer of 2024. The news was revealed this month when the eighth volume of the series was published.
The manga was launched in 2019 by Sakurai Mayu (Otonari wa Tenshi to Akuma) in Kodansha’s Ane Friend digital magazine, with the company publishing the manga’s first volume in November 2020. The manga volumes are also published in English by Kodansha USA.
When Hasumi has a chance to meet with her old high school crush, Yamato Kujo, she figures she might as well spend one night in bliss before she deals with the debt collectors that hound her steps. But when Yamato reveals he’s become a yakuza member, Hasumi panics and runs away—only to have Yamato pop up again, but this time with a proposition: He’ll buy her debt if she becomes his bride.
