The official website for the original TV anime series Yoru no Kurage wa Oyogenai (Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night) started streaming the anime’s main promotional video this week. The video confirms more cast and staff members, the anime’s theme songs, and the premiere date as April 6th, 2024.

The anime celebrates Doga Kobo’s 50th anniversary and will premiere on TOKYO MX and BS11 channels on April 6th. It will then air on Kensai TV and AT-X channels on April 7th, followed by HTB Hokkaido TV on April 8th.

The anime, directed by Takeshita Ryohei (Eromanga Sensei) at Doga Kobo studio, will star Itou Miku as Mahiru Kōzuki, Takahashi Rei as Kano Yamanouchi, Tomita Miyu as Kiwi Watase, and Shimabukuro Miyuri as Mei “Kim Anouk” Takanashi.

KanoeRana will perform the anime’s opening theme song, “Irodori” (Colouring), and singer Tsurushima Anna will perform the ending theme song, “Ichi-nichi wa 25-jikan” (A Day has 25 Hours).

A manga adaptation of the anime, created by Fujii Niko, will launch on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app in April 2024.
