Watanabe Peko’s Koi Janee Kara (That’s Not Love) manga will end with the sixth tankoubon volume. The news was confirmed with the release of the manga’s fifth volume on July 23rd, 2024.
Watanabe (1122: For a Happy Marriage) started the Koi Janee Kara manga in September 2021 in Kodansha’s Morning Two magazine, and Kodansha released the manga’s first volume in April 2022.
The manga centers on three individuals connected from a 26-year-old past. Yukari and Akane were best friends in high school, and Yukari was in love with a teacher named Imai. Twenty-six years later, with all three having drifted apart, Imai has become a sculptor, and his new work that depicts a young girl strikes Akane as resembling Yukari from her high school days. When Akane reconnects with her old best friend, painfully nostalgic memories slowly become sins. The relationship of these three in the present slowly unravels the past.
