The official website for the TV anime Youkai Gakkou no Sensei Hajimemashita! (A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School!) confirmed that the anime will premiere on October 8th, 2024, on ABEMA, dAnime Store, and the Tokyo MX channel. A new visual for the anime was also revealed, along with the names of five new cast members.
Ono Katsumi will direct the anime at Satelight studio, and the anime will star Ohsaka Ryota as the protagonist, rookie teacher Haruaki Abe. The new cast members announced this week are Maeno Tomoaki as Mokoto Yamazaki, Morinaga Chitose as Marshmallow, Yanagihara Tetsuya as Chiisai Ojisan, Takano Akira as Rensuke Nyuudou and Aoi Shouta as Akira Takahashi.
The anime is based on Tanaka Mai’s Youkai Gakkou no Sensei Hajimemashita! ongoing manga. Tanaka started the manga in 2014 in Square Enix’s Monthly G Fantasy magazine, and Square Enix published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in May 2015 and the 16th volume in December 2023. Volume 17 is set to be published on September 27th, 2024.
Rookie teacher Haruaki Abe is as cowardly as they come. It’s hard enough for him to handle human students without whimpering, and now he will teach at a school full of monsters?! It’s a classroom of horrors for Haruaki, as his mischievous students use every means to prank him! Will this poor teacher be able to control his group of ghouls, or is this class destined for failure?
