Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket service published the final chapter of Takei Hiroyuki’s Shaman King: The Super Star manga on November 23rd, 2024. The manga is a sequel to Takei’s original Shaman King manga.
Takei started the Shaman King: The Super Star manga in May 2018 in Shounen Magazine Edge, and it moved to Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket service in October 2023. Kodansha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in November 2018 and the ninth volume on November 8th, 2024.
The original Shaman King manga was published in 1998 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump magazine, and Kodansha re-published all 35 volumes in June 2020. Since its original release, the manga has inspired numerous sequels, spinoffs, and TV anime.
Kodansha USA Publishing re-released the original Shaman King manga digitally in English in October 2020. It’s also releasing the Shaman King: The Super Star manga digitally in English, and it published volume eight in June 2024.
