Kadokawa’s Young Ace magazine has confirmed that Adachi Tomori will launch a new manga in the Bungo Stray Dogs franchise in the magazine’s April 2025 issue, available for sale on March 4th, 2025. The new manga, titled Bungo Stray Dogs Tantei-sha Setsuritsu Hiwa, is an adaptation of the third light novel in the Bungo Stray Dogs light novel series by Asagiri Kafka and Harukawa Sango, which was released in April 2015.
The novel follows Yukichi Fukuzawa, who is doing bodyguard work in Yokohama and, due to strange circumstances, ends up looking after the unruly genius boy Edogawa Ranpo. Their strange meeting led to the establishment of the current Detective agency.
Asagiri and Harukawa started the ongoing Bungo Stray Dogs manga in December 2012 in Kadokawa’s Young Ace magazine, and Kadokawa published the first volume in April 2013 and the 26th volume on February 4th, 2025. They adapted the original manga into a light novel series in April 2014, and Kadokawa released the ninth novel in December 2023.
Hoshikawa Shiwasu recently ended the Bungo Stray Dogs: Dazai, Chuuya, Juugosai (Bungo Stray Doys: Dazai, Chuuya Age Fifteen) manga, which was an adaptation of the seventh novel in the Bungo Stray Dogs novel series by Asagiri and Harukawa.
