Staff for the MARRIAGETOXIN (Marriage Toxin/ マリッジトキシン) TV anime have revealed that the anime has been green-lit for a second season, which will premiere in 2027. An announcement video has been revealed.

The anime’s first season, directed by Hori Motonobu at Bones Film studio, premiered on April 7th, 2026. Crunchyroll streamed the anime under the title, MARRIAGETOXIN, and it described the anime story below.
“For centuries, the deadly arts have been perfected by Masters, and Five Great Families hold the greatest power and influence. Hikaru Gero, an heir to the Gero family, lives in the underworld as an elite assassin. When his sister is pressured to produce an heir, Hikaru asks Mei Kinosaki, a brilliant marriage swindler, to find him a bride. The most challenging mission of his life begins!”

The anime is an adaptation of the manga by Joumyaku and Yoda, which began in April 2022 in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app. Shueisha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in August 2022, and the manga’s 18th volume will be released on July 3rd, 2026.
The MANGA Plus app releases the manga chapters in English under the name MARRIAGETOXIN, and Viz Media releases the manga volumes in English under the name Marriage Toxin. Viz Media will release the manga’s 14th volume on August 11th, 2026.
