The official website for the Yozakura-san Chi no Daisakusen (Mission: Yozakura Family) TV anime has confirmed that the show’s second season will premiere in 2026, and it revealed a new visual.
The anime’s first season premiered in April 2024. It was directed by Minato Mirai (Masamune-kun no Revenge, Sasaki to P-chan, Itai no wa Iya nano de Bougyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu) at the SILVER LINK studio.
The anime is based on the Yozakura-san Chi no Daisakusen manga series by Gondaira Hitsuju (Poro no Ryuugakuki). The manga was launched in August 2019 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, and Shueisha released its first tankoubon volume in February 2020. Its most recent volume, number 27, was published on December 4th, 2024. Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service also releases the manga digitally in English.
Taiyo Asano is a super shy high school student, and the only person he can talk to is his childhood friend, Mutsumi Yozakura. It turns out that Mutsumi is the daughter of the ultimate spy family! Even worse, Mutsumi is harassed by her overprotective nightmare of a brother, Kyoichiro. What drastic steps will Taiyo have to take to save Mutsumi?! A spy family comedy – the mission begins!
