The official Twitter account for Kobayashi Yuugo’s Aoashi manga confirmed this week that the manga series will end with the release of its 40th tankoubon volume. The manga’s 38th volume will be released on December 26th, 2024.

Ueno Noahiko is credited with the original story concept, and manga author Kobayashi (Tenman a la carte, Fermat no Ryouri) adapted the story in January 2015 in Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits magazine. Shogakukan published the manga’s first volume in April 2015 and the 38th volume on December 26th, 2024. The manga was adapted into an anime in April 2022, and all 24 episodes are available to stream on Crunchyroll.
