Hirata Yutaka is directing the anime at C-Station studio, and the anime will star Hatanama Tasuku as the Protagonist and Aoki Ruriko as Mechako, while Chiba Shigeru will narrate the anime.
Manga author Byuu serialised the horror comedy manga from July 2018 to July 2024 on the Omocoro web service. Shogakukan published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in September 2021 and the fifth and final volume in August 2024.
The story begins when the protagonist, who is easily scared, meets Mechako, the boss of the Kaikigumi, an organisation that controls ghosts and monsters that threaten humans. For some reason, the protagonist ends up helping to revive the Kaikigumi, and strange phenomena that are both terrifying and not so terrifying begin to occur one after another around him.
