Nintendo released the opening cinematic video for the Yoshi and the Mysterious Book game, featuring Bowser Jr. The game will be released worldwide today, May 21st, 2026, only for Nintendo Switch 2.

“One day, on the island where the Yoshis live, a talking encyclopaedia named Mr. E suddenly falls from the sky. His pages are full of creatures to discover, so Yoshi dives in to learn all about them…
While examining the creatures, Yoshi can eat them, jump on them, or even carry them on his back. Use Yoshi’s abilities to reveal all sorts of characteristics about the inhabitants of Mr. E’s pages.
