Digital publisher Funguild has announced that the Migawari Reijou o Sukutta no wa Reikoku Mujihi na Kouri no Ouji no Ai Deshita (Saved By the Ice Cold Prince’s Embrace/身代わり令嬢を救ったのは冷酷無慈悲な氷の王子の愛でした) manga by Kurokawa Kusabi has been green-lit for a light anime. The anime will premiere on the TV Kanagawa channel in July 2026.

Kurokawa has released an illustration to celebrate the anime news.

The manga is an adaptation of the Shiitagerarete Ita Migawari Reijou ga Noroware Ouji ni Tokeru Hodo ni Ai Sareru Madelight (虐げられていた身代わり令嬢が呪われ王子に溶けるほどに愛されるまで ) web novel series by Yakiimo Hokuhoku. Author Yakiimo started the original story in July 2023 on the Shosetsuka ni Narou website.
Kurokawa started the manga adaptation in January 2025, and Funguild published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in June 2025. The manga’s second volume was released in January 2026, and the third volume is scheduled for release on May 18th, 2026.

“As the illegitimate daughter of a count and his maid, Katrina was born into miserable circumstances.
