The original anime Lazaro (Lazarus) for Toonami has released a new visual and confirmed that the show will premiere on April 5th, 2025, on the Adult Swim Toonami programming block. The episodes will be streamed the following day on the Max streaming service. The anime will also air on TV in Tokyo and its affiliated channels starting April 6th, 2025.

Watanabe Shinichirou (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Chanpuru, Space Dandy) is directing the anime at MAPPA studios, and the anime will star:

- Uchida Yuuma as Leland
- Iwami Manaka as Eleina
- Hayashibara Megumi as Hersch
- Outsuka Akio as Abel

The anime is set in the near future where the painkiller Hapuna, known as a miracle drug with no side effects, has become widespread. It is discovered that Hapuna causes death to users after three years, and the story depicts the struggles of the five-person agent team Lazarus, who are brought together to track down its creator.
