Staff for the Maid-san wa Taberu Dake (The Food Diary of Miss Maid/ メイドさんは食べるだけ) TV anime have revealed a new key visual and confirmed that the anime will have an advanced streaming premiere on April 1st, 2026.

The anime’s first episode will be streamed on the d Anime Store, ABEMA, U-NEXT, and Anime Hodai streaming services in Japan on April 1st at 12:00 a.m. JST. The anime will then debut on TV on April 5th, 2026, on the Tokyo MX channel at 10:00 p.m. JST and on the BS Asahi channel at 11:00 p.m. JST.
Sendo Ryousuke is directing the anime at EMT Square and Magic Bus studios, and the anime will star:
- Ichinose Kana as Suzume Tachibana
- Sunou Chihiro as Ricotta Fresca
- Kawase Maki as Nana Komatsu
- Ishigami Shizuka as Sora Endo
- Igarashi Hiromi as Anzu Shingetsu
- Sakuma Daisuke as Chun
The anime is based on Maeya Susumu’s Maid-san wa Taberu Dake manga. Maeya started the manga in December 2019 on Kodansha’s Comic Days website, and Kodansha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in August 2020. The manga’s fifth volume was released in November 2025.
Kodansha USA has released the first four manga volumes in English under the name The Food Diary of Miss Maid. Kodansha USA describes the manga’s story below:
“What’s a maid to do when she finds herself suddenly stuck in Japan for a year? Eat, of course! Follow maid-in-training Suzume Tachibana as she tries all sorts of Japanese food, from sweets like taiyaki and melon bread to savoury snacks like takoyaki and onigiri! Be warned, though-while Suzume sates her appetite through delicious treat after delicious treat, she might just end up whetting yours!”
