Suiseisha has confirmed that the Ichiko Aika: Zatsu de Namaiki na Imouto to Warikirenai Ani (イチゴ哀歌～雑で生イキな妹と割り切れない兄～) adult manga by author Hirafumi and illustrator Shinba Yagi will be adapted into a TV anime in 2026 by AnimeFesta. It has also been revealed that the anime’s English title will be Ichigo Aika: Strawberry Elegy.

The full-colour manga was first released digitally on DEDEDE’s Comic Cmoa service in November 2022, and CLLENN released the manga’s first three tankoubon volumes digitally on September 5th, 2025.
The manga follows Kota and his new stepsister, Aika. When Kota’s father gets remarried, Kota’s first impression of his new stepsister is that she is beautiful, but that image is shattered pretty quickly.
His new stepsister is a super sassy and foul-mouthed person who only behaves in front of their parents but is uncontrollable while their parents are away. This makes Kota’s life a living hell, and a terrible relationship unfolds, with the two hurling insults at each other whenever they meet. However, their relationship begins to change when Aika gradually warms up to Kota’s caring older-brother nature.
