Pony Canyon has revealed the teaser video and key visual for the Kikaijikake no Marie (Mechanical Marie) TV anime and confirmed that it will premiere in Autumn 2025.

Nishimura Junji is directing the anime at Zero-G and Lieber studios, while Kunisawa Mariko is in charge of series composition, and Kikuchi Yoko is in charge of character design. Takanashi Yasuharu and Johannes Nilsson are in charge of music. The anime will star Touyama Nao as Marie and Ishiya Haruki as Arthur.

Once a genius martial artist, Marie is a human girl who now hides her identity and works undercover as a “mechanical maid” in the mansion of Arthur, the heir to a powerful conglomerate who despises humans.

Taking advantage of her naturally expressionless face, Marie flawlessly fulfills her duties as a “mechanical maid” while secretly protecting Arthur from the assassins constantly targeting his life. The anime is based on Akimoto Aki’s Kikaijikake no Marie romantic comedy manga. Akimoto started the manga in March 2020 as a one-shot manga, and from June 2020 to June 2023, the manga was serialised in Hakusensha’s Lala magazine. Hakusensha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in December 2020 and the sixth and final volume in September 2023.
Akimoto confirmed in March 2025 that they will start a sequel manga titled Kikaijikake no Marie + (Mechanical Marie+) on Hakusensha’s LaLa magazine on April 24th, 2025.
