Staff for the Seihantaina Kimi to Boku (You and I Are Polar Opposites/ 正反対な君と僕 ) TV anime have revealed the third promotional video and a new visual. The video confirms that the show will premiere on January 11th, 2026, on the MBS, BTS and their affiliated channels.

The anime will also be available to stream in Japan on the ABEMA service, and Crunchyroll will also stream the anime.
Nagatomo Takayoshi is directing the anime at Lapin Track, and the anime will star:
- Suzuhiro Sayumi as Suzuki
- Sakata Shougo as Tani
- Taniguchi Yuna as Watanabe
- Hirabayashi Konatsu as Sato
- Iwata Anji as Yamada
- Shimabukuro Miyuri as Azuma
- Katou Wataru as Taira
- Omori Cocoro as Nishi
- Kusunoki Tomori as Honda
The show is based on the Seihantaina Kimi to Boku romance manga by Agasawa Koucha. Manga author Agasawa (Koori no Jyouheki) started the manga as a one-shot in January 2021 and then began serialisation in May 2022 on Shueisha’s Shounen Jump Plus. Shueisha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in July 2022 and the eighth and final volume in March 2025.
Both MANGA Plus and Viz Media release the manga in English under the name You and I Are Polar Opposites. Viz Media will release the seventh volume on November 4th, 2025, and it describes the story below:
“Suzuki’s a high school girl in love, but the guy she’s fallen for is nothing like her! While she’s cheerful, outgoing, and always trying to fit in, her classmate Yusuke Tani is stoic, quiet, and doesn’t seem to care what people think of him. Will Suzuki be able to overcome her anxieties and ask him out, or will she discover that opposites really don’t attract?”
