It’s been announced that the Boukensha License o Hakudatsusareta Ossan Dakedo, Manamusume ga Dekita node Nonbiri Jinsei o Oukasur ( I Lost My Adventurer’s License, but It’s Fine Because I Have an Adorable Daughter Now/冒険者ライセンスを剥奪されたおっさんだけど、愛娘ができたのでのんびり人生を謳歌する) light novels by Ononata Manimani have been green-lit for a TV anime adaptation. A teaser visual for the anime has been revealed, along with an illustration and message by Fuzichoco, the novels’ illustrator.

Author Onanata started the story in 2017 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website, and SB Creative’s GA Novel imprint published the first novel in August 2018, with illustrations by Fuzichoco. The series’s fourth novel was released in October 2022.
Tadura Fumi adapted the novel’s story into a manga in November 2018 on Square Enix’s Manga UP! service, and Square Enix published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in December 2018. The manga’s 13th volume was released in June 2025.
Manga UP! Global releases the manga chapter digitally in English under the name I Lost My Adventurer’s License, but It’s Fine Because I Have an Adorable Daughter Now, and it describes the manga’s story below:
