The novel by author Kaise was published by Kadokawa in March 2025 with illustrations by Chagoma. The story follows Meryl Klein, the daughter of a saint and the most powerful exorcist. She is convinced that because of her origins, she has powers that surpass even her mother’s. Conceived and without much training, she embarks on her first mission.

Facing a terrifying demon that would do no harm if attacked, Meryl prays for it to disappear. However, the miracle she had expected does not occur, and for the first time, she realises that perhaps she does not possess the same power as her mother. In this desperate situation, Meryl finds a way out when the demon utters the words, “I haven’t killed anyone.” The only way to hide her own incompetence is to prove the demon’s innocence and avoid fighting. Thus begins the legend of the weakest girl who would eventually be known as the Saint Who Never Fights.
