Bushiroad Games announced that it will develop the first visual novel based on Yamazaki Kore’s Mahou Tsukai no Yome (The Ancient Magus’ Bride) manga. The visual novel, title Mahou Tsukai no Yome: Seika no Maboroshi to Yumemiru Tabiji (The Ancient Magus’ Bride: The Phantom Midsummer and the Dreaming Journey), will be released for Nintendo Switch in 2025.

Yamazaki started the manga in 2013 in Mag Garden’s Monthly Comic Blade magazine. The manga moved to Mag Garden’s Monthly Comic Garden magazine the following year, and in 2023, it moved to Bushiroad Works’ Comic Growl manga website. The manga’s first tankoubon volume was released in April 2024 and the 21st volume in October 2024. The manga’s 22nd volume will be released on April 8th, 2025.
Seven Seas Entertainment releases the manga in English, and the 20th volume will be released on July 1st, 2025. It describes the story below:
