Square Enix has announced a new version of its Final Fantasy XIV game for iOS and Android devices, titled Final Fantasy XIV Mobile, and it released the game’s first trailer. Yoshida Naoki, the producer and director of the original Final Fantasy XIV, introduces the game’s trailer.

Lightspeed Studios is developing the game, while Square Enix holds the license and will supervise its development.
The game’s official website describes Final Fantasy XIV Mobile as an exciting extension of the beloved franchise, capturing the immersive experience of the original title in a fresh, mobile-friendly format. It also confirms that the game will launch first in China, followed by a global release soon after.
