The official Twitter account for Ichijinsha’s Ichijin Novels light novel label has revealed that the Futsutsuka na Akujo de wa Gozaimasu ga – Suuguu Chouso Torikae Den (Though I Am an Inept Villainess/ ふつつかな悪女ではございますが 〜雛宮蝶鼠とりかえ伝〜) light novel series by Nakamura Satsuki and Yuki Kana will enter its final arc with the 13th novel on September 30th, 2026.
Ichijinsha published Nakamura’s first novel with illustrations by Yuki in December 2020, and it released the 12th novel in March 2026.
The novel series was adapted into a manga by Ohitsuji Ei on Ichijinsha’s Monthly Comic Zero-Sum magazine in December 2020. The manga’s first tankoubon volume was released in June 2021, and the manga’s 10th volume was released in March 2026.
Seven Seas Entertainment publishes both the novel series and its manga adaptation in English under the name Though I Am an Inept Villainess: Tale of the Butterfly-Rat Body Swap in the Maiden Court. It will release the 11th novel in the series on September 22nd, 2026 and the manga’s 10th volume on February 9th, 2027.

The novels were adapted into a TV anime which debuted on July 12th, 2026. The anime can be streamed on Crunchyroll under the title Though I Am an Inept Villainess.
