Kadokawa’s Monthly Shounen Ace magazine published the final chapter of Adachi Imaru’s Hige o Soru. Soshite Joshi Kousei o Hirou (Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway) manga in its March 2025 issue, available for sale from January 24th, 2025. The manga is based on the light novel series of the same name by author Shimesaba and illustrator booota.
Shimesaba (Kimi wa Boku no Regret) started the original story on the Kakuyomu website in March 2017. In February 2018, Kadokawa published the first novel with illustrations by booota (Penguin Highway, Ankoku Joshi 2017 edition), and in June 2021, it released the fifth and final novel. The novel series was also released in English by Yen Press, and it published the fifth novel in November 2023.
Adachi started the manga adaptation in November 2018 in Kadokawa’s Monthly Shounen Ace magazine, and in May 2019, Kadokawa published the manga’s first tankoubon volume. The manga’s 12th volume was released in October 2024, and its 13th and final volume will be released on March 24th, 2025.
The Hige o Soru. Soshite Joshi Kousei o Hirou manga was adapted into a TV anime in April 2021, and all 13 episodes can be streamed on Crunchyroll. The manga is also published in English by One Peace Books, and it will release the 11th volume on May 6th, 2025. The company describes the manga below:
