The official website for the Douse, Koishite Shimaunda (Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You/どうせ、恋してしまうんだ。) TV anime has revealed a teaser video for the anime’s second season, and it confirms that the new season will premiere in January 2026. The second season will air on the TBS and BS11 channels.

Yamamoto Junichi (Fuufu Ijou Koibito Miman, Otona no Bouguya-san) is returning as the director for the anime’s second season at Typhoon Graphics Studio. The anime’s first season premiered in January 2025, and it can be streamed on the Crunchyroll website under the name Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You. Crunchyroll describes the anime below:
“It’s the year 2020, and Mizuho is having the worst 17th birthday ever. Her parents forgot it’s her birthday, she still can’t seem to get close to the senior she likes, and all her school trips and tournaments are cancelled thanks to a new disease going around. She’s convinced she’ll never have the kind of youth she’s always dreamt of…until her childhood friend, Kizuki, suddenly asks her out.”
The anime is based on the Douse, Koishite Shimaunda manga by Mitsui Haruka. Mitsui (Hоukago, Koi Shita) started the manga in October 2020 in Kodansha’s Nakayoshi magazine, and Kodansha released the manga’s first tankoubon volume in March 2021 and the 12th volume on August 12th, 2025.
Kodansha USA Publishing releases the manga in English under the name Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You, and it will publish the manga’s 10th volume digitally on September 23rd, 2025. Kodansha USA Publishing describes the manga below:
