Square Enix’s Gangan Joker magazine has confirmed that the Osananajimi o Erabenai! (I Can’t Choose A Childhood Friend!/ 幼馴染をえらべない！) manga by Furokawa Tsukasa will end in the magazine’s February 2026 issue, available for sale on January 22nd, 2026.
Furukawa (Koi no Kami-sama) started the manga in July 2024 in Square Enix’s Gangan Joker magazine, and Square Enix published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in December 2024. The manga’s second volume was released in June 2025.
Square Enix’s Manga UP! Global releases the manga chapters in English under the name I Can’t Choose A Childhood Friend!, and it describes the manga story below:
“For Yu Suzukaze, reuniting with the childhood friend he adored feels like a dream come true. After ten long years apart, they can finally enjoy high school life together. But it turns out, this girl isn’t exactly “single”!”
