Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump magazine confirmed this week that Miuro Kouji’s Ao no Hako (Blue Box) manga will get a novel adaptation titled Ao no Hako Prologue. The novel written by Miura and Nanao will be released on December 4th, 2024.

Miura (Aozora Lover, Sensei, Suki Desu) started the manga in 2020 as a one-shot in Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump magazine and began regular serialization in April 2021. Shueisha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in August 2021 and released the 17th volume on October 4th, 2024. Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service releases the manga in English digitally, while Viz Media publishes the manga physically in English. Viz Media published the 12th volume on October 1st, 2024, and will release the 13th volume on December 3rd, 2024.
