The official website for the TV anime S Rank Monster no “Behemoth” dakedo, Neko to Machigawarete Elf Musume no Pet Toshite Kurashitemasu (I’m a Behemoth, an S-Ranked Monster, but Mistaken for a Cat, I Live as an Elf Girl’s Pet) released its first full promotional video and confirmed that the anime will premiere in January 2025.

Hirakawa Tetsuo (Bucchigire!, Zero Kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho) is directing the anime at Zero-G and Saber Works studios. The anime’s website confirmed the new cast members as Oubuchi Nonoka as Lily and Wakui Yuu as Feri, and previously confirmed cast members include:
- Hatanaka Tasuku as Tama
- Sugiyama Riho as Tama in Cat form
- Yano Hinaki as Aria
- Kusunoki Tomori as Vulcan
- Ueda Hitomi as Stella
The anime is an adaptation of Ginyoku Nozomi’s light novel series. Ginyoku (Tensei Madou-ou wa, Teihenshoku no Kuromajutsushi ga, Jitsuwa Saikyou Shokuda to Shitteiru) started the story on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in 2017 and ended it in 2021. Micro Magazine published the first novel in print with illustrations by Yanomitsuki (“Shop” Skill Saeareba, Dungeon-ka Shita Sekai Demo Rakushouda: Hakugai Sareta Shounen no Saikyou Zamaa Life) in March 2018 and the second in October 2018.
The novel series also inspired a manga adaptation by Shinonome Tarou (KimiKiss ~various heroines~) in March 2018 in the Young Animal Arashi magazine. Hakusensha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in March 2018 and the 11th volume in March 2024. Yen Press publishes the manga in English, and it will release the 11th volume on February 18th, 2025.
