Staff for the Kimi to Hanabi to Yakusoku to (君と花火と約束と/Kimi-Hana) anime film have revealed the full trailer and key visual for the film. The anime film is set to premiere in Japanese theatres on July 17th, 2026.

Suzuki Kei is directing the anime film at Synergy SP, and the film will star Satou Shouri as Makoto Natsume and Hara Nanoka as Aki Hayama. The newly confirmed cast is listed below:
- Takahashi Rie as Haru
- Yokosawa Natsuko as Yukari Natsume

The anime is based on the Kimi to Hanabi to Yakusoku to light novel by Mado Kaori. Shogakukan published the novel with illustrations by Akamoku on December 18th, 2025.
The story is set in Niigata’s Nagaoka Festival Fireworks Display, one of Japan’s three major fireworks displays, which attracts hundreds of thousands of people every year. A painting depicting fireworks brings together Makoto and Akira, two high school students living in Tokyo, far from Niigata. At the mercy of the mysterious painting and fate, Makoto and Akira are forced to make a decision within a limited amount of time.
The novel has also been adapated into a manga by Ririura Yomiya. The manga was launched in Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry on March 26th, 2026.
