The first volume of the manga *Hazuresukiru “Omoidasu” de Kioku o Torimodoshita Dai Kenja ~ Gendai Chishiki to Saikyou Mahou no Yuugou de, I Sekai o Musou Suru ~* ( The Great Sage Who Regained His Memories with the Useless Skill “Omoidasu” ~ Unrivaled in Another World Through the Fusion of Modern Knowledge and the Strongest Magic ~) by Izumi Soya was released on May 25, 2026 .
The manga is an adaptation of the light novel series of the same name by Nobeno Masayuki . Author Nobeno started the original story in May 2022, and publisher Hifumi Shobo released the first novel with illustrations by Uni Matsu in June 2024. The second novel was released in December 2025.
The story follows a young boy named Chrono Kengo, who is summoned to another world as one of the “heroes.” The skill he acquires is… a useless skill of Remember. When a powerful monster attacks him and he faces death, the skill activates, and Chrono remembers that he had a past life before being reincarnated in the modern world.
He remembers being a great sage, praised as the strongest in that other world. With the power of the skill, Remember, Chrono, together with Mimi, a beast-girl who has remembered her past life as a beast divine, sets out on a journey to regain his former power.
