Kadokawa has revealed a new teaser trailer and visual for the Isekai no Sata wa Shachiku Shidai (The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter/ 異世界の沙汰は社畜次第 ) anime. It has also been confirmed that the anime will premiere on TV in January 2026.

Ishihara Shinji is directing the anime at Studio DEEN, and the anime will star Itou Kent as Seichiro Kondo, Maeno Tomoaki as Aresh Indrak, Touchi Hiroki as Kamil, and Yamashita Seiichirou as Norbert.

The anime is based on the Isekai no Sata wa Shachiku Shidai boys-love light novel series by Wakatsu Yatsuki. Author Wakatsu started the story in March 2018 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website, and Kadokawa published the first novel with illustrations by Ohashi Kikka in February 2019. The third novel was published in September 2021.

Irodori Kazuki started the manga adaptation of the novels in March 2020 on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker Website, now known as KadoComi. Kadokawa published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in October 2020 and the sixth volume in November 2024. The manga’s seventh volume is scheduled for release on October 31st, 2025.

Yen Press releases the light novels and the manga adaptation in English under the title The Other World’s Books Depend on the Bean Counter. The third novel was released in March 2025, and the manga’s sixth volume will be released on January 20th, 2026. Yen Press describes the novel’s story below:

“One day, twenty-nine-year-old accountant Seiichirou Kondou is accidentally transported to another world. As compensation, the Romany Kingdom promises to take care of all his living expenses, but the workaholic Seiichirou still asks for a job.
