This is the latest of several delays that the series suffered since its premiere on July 9, 2023. Episode 4, which aired in Japan on July 30, was delayed to July 31 on some streaming platforms including Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Netflix, citing production circumstances. Episode 5, which was set to air on August 6, was also delayed to August 13, replaced for the week by a special feature titled “Zom100 Special Program: 100 Things You Need to Prepare to Run Away from Zombies”. Episode 6 also was delayed to August 27, the August 20 timeslot occupied by the 2023 World Athletics Championships. Broadcasting proceeded without further shifts, with episode 7 airing on September 3, followed by a recap episode on September 10. Finally, episodes 8 and 9 premiered on September 17 and 24 respectively.
