The official website for the Fushigi no Kuni de Alice to -Dive in Wonderland– (不思議の国でアリスと -Dive in Wonderland-) anime film, Japan’s first anime film adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic children’s novel Alice in Wonderland, has revealed its first full trailer.

The anime film will premiere on August 29th, 2025, and it follows a modern-day girl named Rise who gets lost in Wonderland and meets Alice. Shinohara Toshiya (Shiroi Suna no Aquatope, Kuroshitsuji, Nagi no Asukara) is directing the film at P.A. Works, and the film will star Hara Nanoka as Rise and Pugh Maika as Alice.
The Alice in Wonderland novel, also known as Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland, was published in 1865. It follows a girl named Alice who falls through a rabbit hole into a fantasy world with surreal creatures. The original novel has been translated into 174 languages and adapted into various media such as TV shows and films, ballet, opera, theme parks, board games, and video games.
