Fukushima Riki is directing the anime at J.C.Staff studios, and the anime will star Fukugawa Seria as Ellen, Okitsu Kazuyuki as Rovel, and Nakahara Mai as Origin.

The anime is based on the light novel series Chichi wa Eiyuu, Haha wa Seirei, Musume no Watashi wa Tenseisha by writer Matsuura and illustrator Keepout. Matsuura began the light novel series in 2016 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website and concluded it in 2020. Kadokawa published the light novels’ first volume with illustrations by Keepout in 2018, and the ninth and final volume was released in October 2022.

Ouhori Yutaka published a manga adaptation of the light novel series in September 2018 in Square Enix’s Monthly Big Gangan magazine. Square Enix published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in May 2019 and the 12th volume in March 2025.

Square Enix’s Manga Up Global releases the manga adaptation in English under the name Reincarnated as the Daughter of the Legendary Hero and the Queen of Spirits. It describes the story below:

Her father, Rovel, is the legendary hero who saved the kingdom, and her mother, Origin, is the primordial queen and ruler of all spirits.
