The first volume of Akiyama Enma’s Noa-senpai wa Tomodachi, serialized on Shueisha‘s Weekly Young Jump, is now available for sale. The magazine’s 47th issue of 2023 published an illustration by the author to celebrate the release. Akiyama’s second serialized manga after the sadly canceled Killing Me!, was launched in the magazine on Jul 6, 2023.

Ootsuka Rihito, a 23-year-old developer, firmly believes in never putting more effort into things than necessary and always making time for himself. By contrast, his senpai Saotome Noa is talented and incredibly fast, enough to get promoted to lead art director within five years of joining their company. One night, when the two of them are working overtime, Rihito accidentally finds out Noa was recently dumped by her boyfriend, and agrees to go out for drinks to cheer her up. She reveals herself to be a surprisingly fragile and insecure person, who threw herself headlong into work in an effort to be accepted and struggles to socialize with her peers. As the two interact (but mostly because Noa begged him), an odd friendship is born, and Noa finally finds someone she can be herself around.
