The first tankoubon volume of the Odayaka Kizoku no Kyuuka no Susume. @COMIC ~Shukushu no Mainichi Meshi~(A Gentle Noble’s Vacation Recommendation: The Innkeeper’s Daily Meals/穏やか貴族の休暇のすすめ。@COMIC ～宿主の毎日メシ～) manga by Ishizawa Risa and Sando was released on January 10th, 2026.
The Odayaka Kizoku no Kyuuka no Susume. @COMIC ~Shukushu no Mainichi Meshi~manga is a spinoff of the Odayaka Kizoku no Kyuuka no Susume (A Gentle Noble’s Vacation Recommendation/ 穏やか貴族の休暇のすすめ。) light novel series by Misaki and Sando, and the manga adaptation by Momochi.
Ishizawa and Sando began the manga spinoff on TO Books’ Comic Corona website in December 2025. The story is set on the tropical island of Astarnia, and it follows the owner of the inn where Lizel and their friends stay. The manga depicts the daily life of the inn and its owner, the unusual visitors and signature dishes.
Author Misaki began the original story in January 2014 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website, and TO Books published the first novel in June 2018, featuring illustrations by Sando. The series’s 20th novel was released in April 2025.
The novel series was adapted into a manga by Momochi in December 2018, and TO Books published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in June 2019. The manga’s 14th volume was also released on January 10th, 2026.
Tokyopop is releasing the original manga adaptation in English under the title A Gentle Noble’s Vacation Recommendation, and it published the manga’s 10th volume in January 2025.
Tokyopop describes the story below:
“When Lizel finds himself in a city that bears odd similarities to his own but clearly isn’t, he quickly comes to terms with the unlikely truth: this is an entirely different world. Even so, laid-back Lizel isn’t the type to panic. He immediately sets out to learn more about this strange place, and to help him do so, he hires Gil, a seasoned adventurer, as his tour guide and protector.
Until he’s able to find a way home, Lizel figures this is a perfect opportunity to explore a new way of life, adventuring as part of a guild. After all, he’s sure he’ll go home eventually, so he might as well enjoy the otherworldly vacation for now!”
The original light novel series has also been adapted into a TV anime, which premiered on January 7th, 2026, on the TV Tokyo channel.
