The Fantasy Book Club webcomic by The Evil Nae (TheEvilNae) has begun a Kickstarter campaign for a print version of its first issue, A Burning Beginning.

The webcomic, which is currently on its third issue on Namicomi, is described below as per the Kickstarter campaign:
“Gods and monsters, dragons and magic… It’s just fiction, right?
Fiona Standish, a particularly antisocial student librarian, isn’t convinced that’s true. She has very little faith in people, but within the pages of fantasy novels she has always been able to find something that feels like truth and power in a world where she can’t seem to grasp either. When a mysteriously compelling book shows up in her returns cart and seeks to destroy what little control she has over her own reality… she will need to make a choice.
Her decisions may change the world, but whether or not she survives them depends on the fantasy book club members caught up in her wake. Because belief in magic is all it takes to make you a target… but believing in others is the only way to survive.
(LGBTQ+ characters and themes. Contains swearing, scenes involving violence/blood, portrayals of mental health disorders, and themes dealing with domestic violence. Recommended for audiences 13 or older.)”
