Crunchyroll confirmed with Anime News Network last week that its web and mobile application for its ‘Crunchyroll Manga’ digital manga distribution service launched in October 2013 will no longer be available after December 11th, 2023.
An email was previously sent to Crunchyroll users stating that starting November 7th, 2023, digital manga would no longer be available on Crunchyroll.
Regarding the removal, Crunchyroll said in a statement:
As a part of Crunchyroll’s ongoing commitment to providing fans with the best experiences around their favourite series, we will be sunsetting the Crunchyroll manga application on December 11th across the web and mobile. However, fans looking to discover new manga adventures can head to the Crunchyroll Store, which offers more than 17,000 manga across genres. Fans can also enjoy other benefits of a Crunchyroll Mega Fan or Ultimate Fan membership, including Crunchyroll Game Vault, which includes a growing catalogue of free-to-play titles across iOS and Android.
