The Servamp manga will end with its 23rd tankoubon volume, set to release in 2024, along with the 22nd volume. The news was revealed this month with the release of the manga’s 21st volume.
The manga series was created by Tanaka Strike and first published in April 2011 in Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Gene magazine. Kadokawa released the manga’s first volume in December 2011; the most recent volume, volume 21, was released on December 26th, 2023. Seven Seas Entertainment is publishing the manga in English and released its 19th volume in October this year.
The Servamp manga has inspired a TV anime that premiered in July 2016 and a sequel movie in 2018 titled Gekijouban Servamp: Alice in the Garden. It also inspired a stage play adaptation from November to December 2020.
When a stray black cat named Kuro crosses Mahiru Shirota’s path, the high school freshman’s life will never be the same again. Kuro is, in fact, no ordinary feline but a servamp: a servant vampire. While Mahiru’s philosophy is one of non-intervention, he soon becomes embroiled in an ancient, altogether surreal conflict between vampires and humans.
