Sting Entertainment announced this week that it will release the HD remastered version of the game Riviera: Yakusoku no Chi Riviera (Riviera: The Promised Land) for Nintendo Switch. The role-playing game will be available for sale in Japan on February 29th, 2024.
The new game’s official website states that the remaster will feature new content, higher-resolution graphics, a fast-forward option, autosave, and other additions. The game will also be released for PC via Steam, iOS, and Android at a later date.
The original Riviera: Yakusoku no Chi Riviera game was released in July 2002 in Japan for WonderSwan Color. It was later ported to Game Boy Advance in 2004 and PlayStation Portable in 2006. The game centers on Ein, a Grim Angel who must battle against demons and antagonistic Grim Angels to seal away the four fountainheads of evil known as the Accursed. Ein travels with four heroines, Fia, Lina, Serene, Cierra, and his cat-like familiar Rose.
