The first promotional video for The New Gate began streaming this week and confirms that the anime will premiere in April 2024. The anime is an adaptation of the light novel series by Kanazami Shinogi.

Nakatsu Tamaki will direct the anime at Yokohama Animation Lab and Cloud Hearts. The TV anime will premiere on Tokyo MX, MBS, and BS11 in April.
Kazanami began the original story in 2013 on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website. In 2016, the story was removed from the website, and Alphapolis made it available on theirs. AlphaPolis began publishing the story in print, with illustrations by Makai no Jounin, in December 2013, and it released the 22nd novel in November 2023.
The light novels were also adapted into manga by Miwa Yoshiyuki in November 2014 on AlphaPoli’s web manga website. AlphaPolis released the first tankoubon volume in August 2015; the latest novel, number 13, was released in February 2023. One Piece Books licenses the manga adaptation and releases it digitally and in print in English. The company released the 12th volume in print on February 6th, 2024.
