Yajima‘s web manga Neko ni Tensei Shita Ojisan (The Guy That Got Reincarnated as a Cat) has been green-lit for a TV anime adaptation. The premiere will be in October 2024. The news was announced this week at the Fuji TV Anime Lineup Press Conference 2024 event.

Kawakoshi Takahiro and Rio are directing the anime at Studio Eight Colors, and the anime will air on Fuji channel’s Poka Poka program starting in October.
Yajima started the manga on Twitter in early 2023. The story follows an ordinary old man who is reincarnated as a cute cat. Kadokawa released the manga’s first tankoubon volume in December 2023, and the second volume is set for release on May 1st, 2024.
The manga author also confirmed the anime news on Twitter and drew an illustration to celebrate the news.
