Ichikawa (Mushi to Uta – Ichikawa Haruko Sakuhinshuu, 25-ji no Bakansu) started the manga in October 2012 in Kodansha’s Afternoon magazine. Kodansha published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in July 2013; the latest novel, number 12, was released in November 2022.

Due to the manga’s popularity, it also inspired a TV anime adaptation in October 2027, and all 12 episodes were streamed on HIDIVE.
