Shochiku released a new promotional trailer for the Ganbatte Ikimasshoi anime film. The trailer introduces the setting and main characters and confirms that the film will debut in cinemas on October 25, 2024.

Sakuragi Yuuhei (Soutai Sekai, Ingress) will direct the anime film at Studio Moe and REIRS, while Shochiku will be in charge of distribution. The anime film will star Amamiya Sora as Eiko Murakami, Itou Miku as Hime Saeki, Takahashi Rei as Rina Takahashi, Kitou Akari as Miyoko Hyoudou and Hasegawa Ikumi as Mayumi Inomoto.
The anime is based on Shikimura Yoshiko‘s light novel, which was released in 1996. The novel won the Bocchan Literary Prize in 1995 and inspired a live-action film in 1998 and a live-action series in 2005.
Set in Matsuyama City in Ehime prefecture, the story follows the trials and tribulations of five girls who join their high school’s competitive rowing team.
