This week, the first promotional video for the anime Murai no Koi (Murai in Love) was released, and it confirms that the anime will premiere on Japanese TV in October 2024. The anime’s official website states that it will also be exclusively available on Disney Plus in the fall of 2024.

Yamakawa Yoshiki (Little Busters!, Hi Score Girl, Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid) is directing the anime at J.C. Staff Studio. The anime will star Takanashi Kengo as Murai, Hikasa Youko as Ayano Tanaka, and Shimazaki Nobunaga as Hitotose.

The anime’s official website also revealed the show’s key visual.

The anime is based on Shima Junta’s Murai no Koi manga, which ran from June 2018 to June 2022 in Kadokawa’s Gene Line service. Kadokawa released the manga’s first tankoubon volume in December 2018 and the seventh volume in June 2022. The manga also inspired a live-action series in April 2022.
