Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime magazine published the final chapter of Kodama Naoko’s Usotsuki Hanayome to Dousei Kekkon-ron (Lying Bride and Same-Sex Marriage Theory) on July 18th, 2024.
Kodama (Umineko-sou Days, NTR: Netsuzou Trap, Oya ga Urusai node Kouhai to Gisou Kekkon Shitemita) started the manga in September 2023 in Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime magazine, and Ichijinsha released the manga’s first tankoubon volume in April 2024.
The manga follows Rei Shigisawa, a lesbian office worker fed up with a society where she has to go along with the convenience of heterosexuals, even though same-sex marriage is still not legal and may not be in the near future. One day, she reconnects with an old crush who was always popular with men. Now, in a troubled marriage, she asks to spend the night. This is the story of two people who are polar opposites who question the ideal state of marriage and happiness.
