Shonengahosha’s Young King magazine announced that the Serial Killer: Isekai ni Oritatsu (The Serial Killer is Reincarnated Into Another World) manga by Hitotsubu Ichigo and Hiro is getting a spinoff by writer Kawamoto Homura. The spinoff manga by Kawamoto is also illustrated by Hiro and is titled Serial Killer: Isekai ni Oritatsu – Isekai Battle Royale. The new manga will launch in the magazine’s 17th issue of 2024, available for sale on August 9th, 2024.
Manga writer Kawamoto is well known for their work on the Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler manga, which is illustrated by Naomura Touru. Kawamoto’s other works also include Beyblade X, High Card – 9 No Mercy, Majo Taisen, Kakegurui Twins, and Isekai no Hime to no Koi Bakuchi ni, Jinrui no Sonbоou ga Kakkatemasu.
The original Serial Killer: Isekai ni Oritatsu manga by Hitotsubu and Hiro is still ongoing. It was launched in June 2022 in Shonengahosha’s Young King magazine, and Shonengahosha released the manga’s first tankoubon volume in December 2022 and the fourth in June 2024.
The original manga centers on a reincarnated serial killer.
A murderer who cannot stop the urge to kill people, even though he wants to stop, receives the death sentence he wants. His joy is short-lived, as he is reincarnated into another world and is given a mission by the goddess. He needs to kill 12 reincarnated people using his murderous impulses. Not all reincarnated people are saints!
