Kadokawa has confirmed that the light novel series Silent Witch: Chinmoku no Majo no Kakushigoto (Silent Witch) by Isora Matsuri and Fujimi Nanna has been green-lit for an anime adaptation. A teaser visual for the anime has been released, and Aizawa Saya has been confirmed as the voice actress for the character of Monica Everett.
Isora started the story on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in February 2020, and Kadokawa published the first novel with illustrations by Fujimi (Tefuda ga Oume no Victoria) in June 2021 and the seventh volume in February 2024.
Tana Tobi adapted the novel series into a manga in July 2021 in Kadokawa’s B’s-LOG COMIC. Kadokawa published the manga’s first tankoubon volume in April 2022 and the fourth volume in May 2024. Yen Press publishes both the novel series and manga in English under the title Secrets of the Silent Witch.
Monica Everett, the Silent Witch, is the world’s only practitioner of Voiceless Magic, a veritable heroine who single-handedly fended off the Black Dragon of legend. However, the young prodigy is actually…super-duper shy! Yup, turns out she only learned Voiceless Magic to avoid speaking in public. Ignorant of this, the Seven Sages have placed her on a top-secret mission to guard the Second Prince. Can Monica keep it together as she contends with both social interaction and the evils targeting the young royal?
